Dear MAS Family:
It is with great sadness that we let you know that one of our former Shining Star members has passed away.  Karen Dicisero passed away in her sleep on Wednesday May 13, 2009.    The entire MAS Family would like to express our deepest sympathy and send our prayers to Karen's family.

Karen was born, raised, lived and "LOVED HER LIFE" in
                             Leominster, MA. Though born with Downs Syndrome,
                             Karen refused to have her life defined by it. She realized the full potential of her life and acted as a beacon of hope to all who knew her. Her independent spirit and joy for life would carry her far beyond what the experts of the day said she would be able to do.

If you were one of the lucky ones to know her, it is the unconditional love and endless giggles that will be dearly missed. Karen is survived by her parents, Mary and Philip; her brother, Michael; and sister, Jillean.

We would also like the MAS members know that we will
                             be accepting donations at  the banquet that will be presented to her family.  The donations will go to:
 Beacon of Hope
 62 West Street, Leominster
It is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the lives of the mentally and physically challenged as full as possible. Karen loved her time with the Beacon and would want nothing more than to see it survive and thrive.

Welcome to MAS!  Montachusett All Star Cheerleading
 is located at Cheer Factor Athletics, Inc in Leominster MA.
  We are the #1 spring floor cheer facility in Central Massachusetts!
  We are one of the first all star teams from Northern Worcester County
in Massachusetts.  Our staff is made up of talented and caring
coaches with over 40 years of cheerleading, gymnastics and
coaching experience.  The program is directed by Tracey Hartman.

MAS is a competitive cheerleading program with over 150 cheerleaders
from the Leominster, Fitchburg, Lunenburg, Clinton, Lancaster,
Westminster, Gardner and Southern NH areas. The MAS All Stars travel
 and compete on the local, regional, and national level.  Cheerleaders
and gymnasts of all ages and ability levels are welcome to try out.
 We currently have teams for boys and girls ages 3-18.
